Don't think there's any need to get to carried away about the declaration. Seems like a good one given there's been a bit of time lost and India have lost their main bowler. Strauss is basically signalling that he backs their bowlers to do the job against India. If they don't then they have nobody to blame but themselves, and then you're down to exactly how many runs you need to cover bowlers bowling badly - don't think this should ever be a consideration.

Don't see the point in sticking to a 'you have to put 800 on the board every time you bat first just for the security it provides' mentality.

Considering the forecast, don't think England will regret declaring at all, especially since the sun is forecast to shine when they're due to bat again.

Conveniently forgetting it was Watto who was the bigger idiot and the instigator there.. Juz don like people talking back to douchebags, hey? :p
Haha. Come in mate, this one takes it.

You make it physical on a cricket field, you're a ****wit, end of.

Just reading that KP and PK are good friends and know each other really well, from when they both played for Bangalore in the IPL, so that explains, they're constant chatting to each other during the game and the photo that someone put up here earlier.

Depends what Watson said to him. A jetstar employee in NZ was let off recently for beating up a passenger because the passenger "incited him" apparently.

Just watching the highlights and I can't believe, Morgan didn't review that decision, from the evidence he clearly didn't hit it and hit his pad, very strange.
Oh, they've just said, apparently Morgan thought he hit it, at the time but it turns out, it was his pad he clipped.

Wait what? Have you played cricket? Can tell you for certain that when you're batting, it's very easy for edges to not be felt or things that feel like edges but aren't to be felt. Morgan's word absolutely should not be taken above the umpire's, or technology. How many times have we seen batsmen review decisions which are blatantly out?

What a stupid comparison.

A batsman will always look ways to prevent being out, hence even if he's out he'll like to think otherwise and if the slightest doubt prevails, he'll look to review it.

A batsman who walks, believes he's out. The umpire believes he's out. Replays are inconclusive. Points out to one thing, the player's and the umpire's decision > the TV viewers. :)

It does not require a Bun to figure that out!

In this situation, I'd take the victim's words over the jury's over the common man's. Especially when the victim says he's no complaint.

Yup, poor declaration, I find myself largely in agreement with Scaly's rant. The only point in favour is that the Indian openers might have been expected to be a bit knackered after a couple of days in the field, and had the horrible "surviving a short session" factor to cope with.

Well played those who played well. Loved that image of KP ruffling Praveen's hair - slight shades of Freddie/Brett and yet KP manages to be the tiniest bit condescending at the same time. Which in a way is one of the best things that KP brings to this team: a sense of belief and a shaking off of the inferiority complex that had plagued England teams for years before the mid-2000s.
IMO it only appears so because KP's much taller than PK. It wouldn't have seemed that way were he the shorter guy ruffling the taller bowlers hair.

Yes. It is. Confirmed his ****headedry with recent comments as discussed in CC.
You're just looking for excuses to bag him. I'd be questioning Afridi's maturity too for the sort of comments he'd put out.
