I've seen lots of stats on careers or peaks of careers, however who would have the best 3 Test streak.....a couple of allrounder contenders to start it off...

uh cause it's bradman

iirc davidson's first 3 tests in 60/61 were stunning with the ball, and handy enough with the bat too in the case of the tied test....

presumably we're not gonna bother with pre WWI stuff or else Barnes and Lohman oughta have some good stuff

Steve Waugh's first 3 tests of the 1989 Ashes & Ian Bell's first three tests were the two I thought without recourse to statsguru. On checking:

Waugh:

1st test: 177*, DNB; 0/27, -
2nd test: 152*, 21*; 1/49, 0/20
3rd test: 43, DNB; 1/38, -

So 393 runs @ 393; 2 wickets @ 67

Bell:

5th test v Windies 1994: 70, DNB
1st test v Bangladesh 1995: 65*, DNB
2nd test v Bangladesh 1995: 162*, DNB
