Presuming Mukund scores does really well in the first test and Raina fails ,Sehwag won't be the worst option at number 6 for this series only.
Can take Swann on later on too and come in against the older ball.

Pretty long shot at the moment though.
That's pretty doubtful TBH.. it sounds like an interesting move on paper but could also go horribly wrong. Besides Sehwag is an established "star player" (rightly so) and he might not take kindly to being shunted around, because you're essentially telling him that you don't have faith in him to see off the new ball... won't happen.

I look forwards to Eoin Morgan depositing him into various stands across England over the next 7 weeks or so

Sreesanth should play on the basis of him bowling the greatest delivery in the history of cricket.

I look forward to seeing Eoin Morgan average around 21 with the bat over the next 7 weeks, and giving his wicket to Zaheer's reverse swing about 5 times out of 8.

By the way, I congratulate Mr. Morgan for scoring more test runs than Harbhajan's number of test wickets. Good achievement, that.

He'll be lucky to get any reverse swing this series, the way the weather is panning out.

Christ I want Broad to have a blinder, just as a "**** you" to people (ahem) dismissing him already.

In other news, Dravid starts the talking: India in England 2011: Rahul Dravid looks ahead to Graeme Swann battle | Cricket News | India v England | ESPN Cricinfo

Strangely, he says that Swann and Anderson are the key. That's fine, Rahul, just allow Tremmers to sneak up the blind side and catch you unawares. He is the real key for us.
Anderson's our key man without a doubt. If he has a bad series, we'll struggle unless someone else is having a Warne 2005 kind of series.

Why would that be strange, they are the 2nd and 3rd ranked bowlers in the world.

Strange because there's no mention of Tremlett, who I think will cause more problems than either Anderson or Swann. Of course Jimmy will be important, but I don't think Swann has to be on top form for us to win.

How comes he didn't play for Eng till the Ashes, after doing well against us and averaging a shade under 30 in 2007?
