*Official* - India in West Indies

Noble One

International Vice-Captain
Edwards has batted quite well since the hit above the ear. Needs to keep playing the same and keeping all his shots straight.

Think India will wrap this up quickly after lunch.

[/rare optimistic prediction]

It wasn't all that clear to me; all that I could make out from the TV replays was that the ball was desperately close to the gloves.

Agreed that the benefit of doubt should go to the batsman in these situations, but I would give some leeway to Kettleborough here. Actually think he's better than quite a few umpires on the ICC panel.
He's given a few bad decisions hasn't he?
Not a great debut from Dickie, no. The Samuels "LBW" (missing off) and the Sammy "catch" (off pad and rib guard) go with the Edwards "catch" (off his helmet) in the first innings.

Although, from a career point of view, he's making his errors against the right team.

Slowly the lead is growing big enough for a draw.

Or can the Windies bowl the Indians out in 50 overs? I'm dreaming, I know, but still! Good fight!

It's not his debut, he stood in the SL-WI series last year.

How was the Kohli dismissal in the first test inconclusive if the Sammy one is said to be conclusive?

really abysmal bowling here...ugh.

I find myself completely distracted by highlights from Aus vs. Pak in 1989 (one of robelinda's gems). Taylor's obdurateness (what a good leaver of the ball he was) against Akram's nonchalant genius.

Here's hoping it keeps a few people awake.

This isn't the first or even second time Fidel has played an innings like this. He's awesome in these situations; he'd be right up there with those I'd want to bat to save a game for my life.

Another 10 overs at most. If we don't dismiss them by the next 10 then it's gonna be really difficult to chase whatever they put up.

Is there anyone at all in India who can bowl reverse swinging yorkers to tailenders? Though Zaheer would have probably come in handy in this situation if we had had him.

So this match has slipped out of hands. India tends to always play a game like this every series where from a very strong position they let the opposition get out of the jail.

This situation in pretty much tailor made for Chanders, to be fair. Batting time is his metier.

Lolworthy appeal from Raina there. Practically screaming and none of the close in fielders were remotely interested.
