*Official* - India in West Indies

This series has been very similar to the England - Sri Lanka one, weather ruined and incredibly frustrating.

I just hope WI don't plan more series at this time of year in the future as it has been a shame it has been ruined.
I think you'll find that the WICB didn't choose this time of the year....

That decision was dictated to them by India, who said this was the only time that they could play the Windies, so they had to either accept the time of the tour, or lump it. Sadly, the WICB is too spineless and broke to tell the BCCI where to go....

It's no secret to any cricket official in the Caribbean that you don't play international matches at this time of the year. Unfortunately, nobody listens to them, but they seem to operate on the international stereotype that the sun always shines in the Caribbean.

Another Junioir Bravo half century. Just can't kick on. Pretty pleased that Baugh has started to put some runs on the board. Shame about the top 6 though
The first five wickets produced 99 runs, and the second five produced 105 runs....

A sad indictment on the top order, IMHO.

This was discussed in cricinfo. The tour timing was decided by WICB only and that was because they had already pencilled in Pakistan for earlier part of the season.

To be fair, Roach has been off-colour recently....

In two Tests against Pakistan, he only took four wickets.

In contrast, in the first two Tests against India, Fidel has taken 13 wickets.

Roach is young - his chance will come again....
Was fantastic against left handers when he came here. Was probably the best bowler in that series. Hope he does get his chance again. I also liked the look of Russell. If those two develop well the future looks bright for the WI.

Erm. Have cricinfo forgotten the basics of Test cricket. Namely, that generally speaking you have to bat twice in a Test?

EDIT: That's better.

They have added "unless there is a fourth innings in this rain-hit match" now.

Bit late.

Vijay gone. Well I think selectors should let him score some runs this year's domestic season before considering him again as a backup opener. Apart from Mukund, did any other opener in Ranji trophy had a good run last season???

And Fidel is bowling really well

Vijay's having an absolute shocker. Might as well have made Dravid open (considering the scores at which he's had to come in this series), and played Badrinath.

Sammy gets Dravid with a lovely ball. He actually is better than we all give him credit for.

Sammy picks up Dravid . Came in slightly but poor from Dravid.
Was, but the bowlers deserve the credit for this one. Consistent away movement (from both ends), then seaming one in. Really intelligent bowling.

And a broken bail! Can't remember the last time I saw that

Yeah,for sure he deserves credit.

Both bowlers have bowled pretty well for West Indies today. Is pretty tough to get Dravid to create such a big gap between Bat and pads.

Man, I hope Dravid does well on the England tour. Despite his hundred in the first test, I'm not fully convinced he's back in form. He's only played sporadically well for about two-three years now. His recent hundreds have come against New Zealand at home, Bangladesh in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka at home, etc. He's done absolutely nothing of note against the better sides. I really hope he comes good against England, because we absolutely cannot afford to carry an out-of-form Dravid.
