He was referring to the fact that Tendulkar and the rest of the Indian team might have watched the game and been disgusted by this incident.Odd comment about "The cricketing Gods". I wonder if Cook actually believes.

there u go...."It was different, I've never seen that before," Cook said. "They were perfectly entitled to do it if they want but it was a bit strange and the cricketing gods may look at that in a bit of disgust."

Yeah man, it's almost as if he's two people. Unforgiveable really.Jesus Christ Bun, you ocassionally come up with some absolute gold (like referring to.Tremlett as 'Omelette') then ruin it with utterly terrible posting.
I think his statement to the press wasn't too bad but his reaction on the balcony really showed him in a bad light. Eitherways, it doesn't matter as he is nothing more than a temporary captain for now until such time the real captain is ready to step up for the role.Cook's strange religious disposition aside, dilshan exposed himself as being way too impulsive. He should have never criticized that period of play publicly. Touring captains should never give any quarter to the press. by expressing his disappointment he has exposed chandimal to unnecessary pressure. He should have had a quiet word with them in private & publicly defended chandimal furiously. I find this far more unacceptable than all the unprofessional things chandimal & mattews supposedly did during the match.
^awtanever should have done it btw, and england should have never allowed him to get the century if such tactics were employed. Few throat balls at mathews would have mend he would fended one or hit them out of the park.
Priceless.GeraintIsMyHero;2597004[B said:]Not really given Germany weren't playing.[/B]
Anyway, can someone link to me to these whinges from Cook? Not heard any
After the Pakistan series, he must have been praying to them and it seems they answered him.Odd comment about "The cricketing Gods". I wonder if Cook actually believes.
Perhaps it was earlier. I believe he sacrificed a deer for the vice-captaincy.After the Pakistan series, he must have been praying to them and it seems they answered him.
We'll there we go, it all becomes much clearer. He really had no other alternative, than to give a nod, to the 'Cricketing Gods', otherwise he may have paid for it.Perhaps it was earlier. I believe he sacrificed a deer for the vice-captaincy.
It's the only explanation!
Bun in tedious half-baked anti-English jibe shockercook's whining is equivalent to the dutch coach complaining about spain's score line in the world cup football final.
I thought the same tbh, first he wanted gloves then he wanted a new bat, all with a few overs left of the game. From when I watched it I thought KPs gripe was about Mathews being refused gloves so promptly deciding he needed a new bat?
I thought it was a bit like when you get a team winning 4-0 in football and the winning players start doing kick-ups and whatever. A bit disrespectful but the losing team's fault for being in that position.
He didn't want gloves. The team wanted him to get gloves plus send out a message. Also it looked to me like most of KP's finger wagging and rants were aimed at Chandimal (for some mysterious reason).I thought the same tbh, first he wanted gloves then he wanted a new bat, all with a few overs left of the game.
