Nadal's played some horrendous shots the last few games. Bad time for your game to go to pieces.

In these hard times for Federer fans, thank **** there's Djokovic to keep Nadal somewhat in check.

Wish Federer had lost to him at the French as well.

well that was mostly a disappointing final from the top two players...anyway congrats novak! as vcs put it, if he can continue this level of tennis for a couple more years, he might just prevent nadal from overtaking federer's record...more so because it doesn't look like federer is going to add to his tally now...:), now we just need jmdp to reach top form and remain healthy...

It's been a long time since a player outside of the Big Three has won a Grand Slam title....

Yeah, Tsonga might be able to have a great day to knock out Federer, but he can't do it more than once to get rid of Djokovic and Nadal in the same tournament.

The only three players capable of winning Slams more than once in this era seem to be Federer, Nadal and Djokovic.

Think Del Potro will be back in the equation come US open.

It's true but you never see him having to hit so many shots either. Have to credit Djokovic.
Djokovic has done it to him the last 5 times they've played. Its why he's won the last 5, he actually outplays Rafa at his own game, and then adds his own twist on things by being able to hit winners himself.

He's just awesome.

Pretty poor match all round imo. Some really weird errors on key points.
Yep. Rafa was rattled. Reckon there's a mental block too tbh. When someone beats you every time you play them lately, it has to have an impact the next time you play them.

Federer beating Djokovic at the French semi was awesome (terrific quality match, awesome story for Fed to break the streak) but one wonders had Djokovic got past Federer then would he have won the French? You'd have to think he very well could have.
