I reckon it's a confidence thing tbh. Is just utterly utterly desperate for a few wickets, and the spat at Billy may be partly fueled by that.
Being able to get a batsman hopping about like Chandimal is will help him a bit.

Having given up on this game, can anyone suggest changes for the next? I know we should be giving new players a chance at this level and not giving up on them after three games but I don't want to see any more Dernbach really. Once his slower ball was worked out after about 3 balls, he became fodder. I think Samit should come in for him, giving us more in the batting, which it seems we need as well.
Also coming round to the idea of Tremmers - if he can trouble the batsmen in the tests, he should at least do the same in the ODIs, even if he leaks a few boundaries. We don't even look like taking wickets on a flat pitch. Broad looks shot, too, so maybe some time back in the shires is needed? Usually a good ODI strike bowler but can't take wickets despite going for runs, as usual.
Any others? Taylor for Bell?

No way will this bunch of selectors go outside of the squad.
The trouble with picking Bopara in the squad is that, if your 1st choice batsmen are struggling, you might be tempted to play him.
