Sorry, but I prefer to watch players before I cast judgements. Kula has a far better FC record than Malinga too, but better bowler? Pffft.

Lakmal more like 7-8mph quicker too. Averages about 83-4mph. Kula barely worries 80mph.
Meh. I need a better reason than that to play a bowler who's only ever been unsuccessful in any format ahead of one who's only ever been successful in every format. Including tests.

And it's especially harsh since you're only watching his one day bowling.

Depressing that we seem to have regressed 2 years with our ODIs.

86/4 at almost half way through the innings on a flatty is worse than unacceptable.

Dont get why there is a long on, long off for Cook against the spinners.
Not the batsmen to come down the track and hit it over.

Bell incredibly lucky, cannot afford to be throwing away a wicket in this position.

38 dot balls vs. 42 singles vs spin on a pitch like this. Suffice to say this is not quite Clarke/Hussey standard in milking spinners at a good RR.

Really glad we've got a long tail, would just be boring if we could have people who can bat coming in next.

Hey, it's the English way, we've been doing it for years, and look at all the success it's brought us in this form.......

Well I don't know, they are going along at over 4 an over. That's what Clarke and Hussey do generally in the boring middle overs.

They generally (nowadays) score at around 5 at this time tbf on an "average" pitch. Close to 6 on a pitch like this against spinners like this.

Nowadays, yeah. His problem is more dibbly-dobbly mediums.

EDIT: Bell, lol.
That was Bell's big opportunity to really make his mark for once, he's had loads on time to play himself in. All this talk about his superb form is so much twaddle when you look at his record and sr.

He's played a couple of good knocks this year but since about 2007 Clarke's been the best example in the world of a player who gets bogged down horribly in the middle overs. It's a bit of a shock to see you using him as an example of the opposite :p.

It's more the specific partnership and style that I'm thinking of tbf.
