ya the harare sports club wicket tends to get better to bat on in the second innings. i guess it's just a matter of poor shot selection and terrific bowling by the aussies. i had never seen Starc in action and when i saw him yesterday i was impressed. he definitely has a future.

We don't really know how the pitches are playing tbf.
It's more the FOW that's indicative to me - the tail has been required to bat through a lot of the death overs twice now which is usually a sign the batting hasn't quite fired as it should. Still, can't complain with the results thus far.

Must admit I'm loving Lyon's immediate form at a higher level, bodes well for a good summer for SA. Just need some good bats.....

Zim bowlers keeping things tight

good start by our Zim bowlers. Utseya taking wickets, Elton bowling with decent pace and keeping it tight and RSA have lost a couple of wickets. the only batsman left at the crease is Rudolph the rest,well...

ouch. last ball loss for Zim
They did really well to take it to the last ball, I thought the match was lost when Taylor and Chakavba were inching along. When Taylor got out, Chigumbura came in and started smacking it.

Tough on the Zims.

Yeah so stupid. Instead we had Tait play every game.

Mind you, aside from conceding too many runs vs. Canada/Kenya than they really should have and wrecking our NRR, putting us against India instead of Eng/WI, the bowlers did more than their fair share in the WC

Yeah and what about Cameron White? Why did he get to play ahead of Callum Ferguson and Tim Paine when he was pretty much just useless?

Aussie selectors are the biggest problem for their cricket imo.

Tait was more useful than Krejza though. Worst choice they could have made for a spinner. Mitchell Johnson was also quite inconsistent. I don't why he doesn't bowl around the wicket more often especially to right handers. In the Pakistan game he was getting smacked around but as soon as he started bowling around the wicket he got a wicket.

Cricinfo can go mad sometimes. I once remember in a tour match it said Tim Paine was bowling some right arm mediums...

Yeah considering Copeland is listed as playing today, it must be him...Or perhaps the selectors are getting Wade ready for test bowling status.

Four down already. I wanted the Zim's to set a proper target as batting second at Harare has seemed very difficult.
