I think it was just a genuine mistake that someone made. It happens; get over it.

You actually didn't review it at all, the umpire did.

And you know what would've happened if he didn't? The exact same thing.

Damage caused by him reviewing it: 0.

Wasn't no ball the initial signal?
Well I didn't see it live, but my understanding is that no, it wasn't.

The best part of that article, though, was this:

As this series is not operating the Decision Review System (DRS), the enhanced DRS standards and ICC technical official were not in place as would have been the case.
If UDRS had been in place there would have been an ICC technical official overseeing the procedure. Could have well made the difference, in which case this is awesome.

It was signalled a no ball first and then reviewed.

The commentators also seemed to imply it.

If there are people involved, whether they be from the ICC or not, some mistakes will be made.

IIRC the same kind of mistake (showing ball five in the replay instead of ball six) was also made during the WC, though it didn't materially affect the result that time.

Ahh, really, well that changes things a bit. Even more of a ****-up, tbh.

Still loving this though:

As this series is not operating the Decision Review System (DRS), the enhanced DRS standards and ICC technical official were not in place as would have been the case.

The worst part is that the same mistake was made in the World Cup too and a couple of media channels picked up upon that to as the non strike batsman was in different positions with bat in seperate hands in each replay.

And in the world cup there were 2 technical officials IIRC . It all comes down to the broadcaster and don't think the technical official is responsible for selecting each replay directly but only to oversee it...

so basically unwanted application of udrs in a series where we didn't agree to it's usage cost us.

You are loving it because WI officials unlike Indians are not honest. There was no DRS in
Border-Gavaskar trophy 2010 too. Yet Miachel Clarke was called back

Sharma to Clarke, 1 no ball, Drama! OMG! What's happening out there! or as Fred Trueman would have said, "What's going off out there?!" Out... a batman walks and then not out. The right decision made btw. Here is what happenned: It was the full delivery on the middle and it was flicked straight to midwicket! But hold on there is more drama! Bowden felt it might be a no ball and asked Clarke to wait. He went upstairs to his third umpire and it was a no ball. The correct decision was made. Clarke was walking off but Billy asked him to hang on.

1st Test: India v Australia at Mohali, Oct 1-5, 2010 | Cricket Commentary | ESPN Cricinfo

This is the only hope of WI to beat us. Their officials are dishonest and cheat.
