Looked likelier that it brushed the gloves from the 2 angles with a clear view there were ,rather than it not having brushed the gloves.

Raina wouldn't have realised if it brushed the backside of his gloves in any case and hence the reaction. Happened before with Tendulkar in Srilanka too where he reviewed and was given out still as the original decision stood.

From the front, the ball wasn't near his glove when it went past him.

It might have brushed the back of his glove when it rebounded off the thigh guard (when Raina was trying to get his hands out of the way). Seemed like there was a bit of a change in direction of the ball there.

Have to disagree there.

Looked like there was a clear chance that it brushed the gloves from that replay to me.
Posted it straightaway here and the commentators agreed too.

So there is not much likelihood that the third umpire would have overturned that in any case.

correct me if wrong, if nothing came up on hotspot, won't the decision be reversed?

didn't look the umpire himself was fully sure, in fact azad looked as perplexed as if his arm had a life of its own.

Well thats what happens when you are the away team- Umpires at times rule close decisions in favour of the home side.
