*Official* - India in West Indies

India were in a dire position when he came in to bat in that match TBF.
Dire? Really?

You mean 240/4? Dire is Kapil Dev coming in at 17/5. 240/4 is not dire, regardless of what SL scored, and that score, chasing 642 does not imply that batting was at all difficult. And the final result pretty much showed how it was possibly the worst wicket for bowling in the history of test cricket.

Well, scoreboard pressure can do funny things to batsmen even on the flattest of wickets. India have won several games in recent times on the back of huge scores. The India-SL series in 2009 when India first took the No. 1 ranking comes to mind.

Agree with that. But don't think Yuvraj all of a sudden would be in contention after having missed this tour and not being in the test side before.
I believe in performance based selection - pure and simple. If he scores a century here, combined with his recovery act last Test match too, he has earned a spot. I never liked him, and I still don't, but performance uber alles.

I understand that but frankly it wouldn't be in the same league as a century here if he does go on and score big. To each his own, but let's just say I wasn't really enthused by anyone scoring anything in that match.

Yeah, this one would definitely be the better knock (and the one he played in the last game as well). He seems to have the temperament at least, if not the technique, for this form of cricket.

I actually like Raina ,but in certain conditions. Can't see him doing too well in England.

Pujara would be my first choice for that tour ,as he also uber performed in the A tour there last year.

amazed how often this team's made a comeback out of nowhere...

lax played some lax strokes, but it was raina who impressed. guy lost his brains for a moment or two but credit to him for dealing with shorter stuff and all.

really a good opp for youngsters to play on such wickets. virat and openers disappointed though.

Weird appeal and decisionmaking process that.

Staggered appeal and staggered raising of the finger. Asad Rauf raised his finger then stopped to think lowering it and then raised it again.

Though i think it hit his gloves coming from the thigh pad.

Bloody hell.

India certainly getting their just desserts in this series for refusing UDRS.

Bishoo owns Dhoni and will relish this opportunity to bowl to him.

I think it clipped his gloves coming back from the thigh pad.Not clear though.

If not Raina has really bore the brunt of wrong decisions this series.

And I hope Raina doesn't get fined for that.. that reaction was pure disappointment rather than dissent. I hope the match referee can see that crucial difference.
