Suresh Raina is the one with the poor FC record but his Test performances have been good.
Suresh Raina is the kind of player who steps up for the big occasions. Though it might not mean much to his test batting technically, but he has performed his best in WC knock-out matches, IPL finals, Champions League finals (IIRC)...So I won't be surprised if he ends up with a better test record than his FC record. He's mentally very tough, and I'm quite impressed the way he has worked on his game against short balls. He, like Gautam Gambhir or Laxman, performs a lot better in big matches and pressure situations, if my reading of his mental strength is correct.

Perhaps you're right and he'll 'do a Collingwood', so to speak, and have a better Test record than FC record. He certainly has looked pretty good at times in his Test career so far and his knock in the first Test was top quality in terms of the context that it came in.

Munaf still struggles to bowl long spells due to inflammation in his elbow, and he failed to recover in time after lengthy net sessions in the lead-up to the match.
Shouldn't really select Munaf for tests anymore.
Is too much of a injury risk when he bowl full tilt long spells.

If Ishant takes 5 wickets in this test, he will be at 101 test wickets, only the 6th Indian seamer to have taken 100+ test wickets after Kapil paaji, Ghavri, Srinath, Zak and Irfan!!

Looking forward to this. Reports suggest a bit in this pitch early on so lets get some early wickets!

Samuels coming back into the side strengthens the batting too which is good

Mithun playing ahead of Mishra. Hmm.....

The pitch must have something for fast bowlers.

No Badrinath still:(
