These two have effectively nullified the efforts of the tailenders though. Game on.

Adrian, one shot too many, son. A 3rd slip there this time to pouch it. Good one for the swinger.

NO reason why there should be gaps in the cordon when the opposition is chasing 300+ to win, IMHO.

EDIT: Crank it up, Dhoni. Silly and a gully for the leg-spinner and keep a packed cordon for the swing specialist. Let's see a champion side going for the kill like a hungry predator would. I expect stout resistance and that'd make it a great contest!

So good for Dhoni to actually learn and put the third slip. Captains get criticised for doing it too late, but at least you learn from your mistakes.

Praveen was swinging it heaps. Made sense to.

Huge wicket.

****. If they could have got a really big partnership I'd have given them a chance but its surely too tough from here.

Has Praveen received any warnings yet in this innings? Thought I saw the umpire talking to him once.

The team's second best player gone. That is good bowling. PK and Sharma should be able to scythe through a bit more here.

I've said it before and would say it again. The match isn't over until Shiv is dismissed or the other ten are!

Simmons is doing the right thing by taking guard outside his crease and walking down the pitch to Praveen, as Brumby suggested.

Love watching Praveen bowl. It's even more enjoyable in Tests. He may or may not prove to be an effective Test bowler but he's got some immense bowling skill.

Wow! The Mowgli guy is cranking it up here. There's pace, bounce and this time he's bowling in the right areas.

Which begs the question - why is there no short leg in place?

My field for Sharma would be:

3 slips, a gully, a short-leg, a mid-off, a mid-on, a deep fine and a point.

Leave the cover open. Let them drive on the up on this track.

Anyone here thinks that not having a short leg is a bit logic-defying? Coz, I really do.
