The more I see of Barath, the more I think he should be kept as far away from ODI cricket as possible at the moment. He's a truly immense talent but he's currently extremely unsuited to ODI cricket and playing it will only mess with his form, confidence and technique. He should keep working on his one day game and play regional one day cricket but no ODIs, please.

Lol! But the guy's quick and does well in the county circuit.

What do you make of Shahzad though? I liked what I saw of him in some ODIs. He, Stuart Meaker, Onions and Dernbach could be promising prospects, you think?
I rate him. Quick and swings the old and new balls.

Not in prime nick just now tho, reportedly, hence him disappearing behind our latest Anglo-Saffer in the pecking order.

Not seen much of Meaker, so can't really comment on him, but Dernbach and especially Onions both have something about them.

Oooo, dropped. Sharp chance, but could've been taken.

Good start by Windies, just come in and was expecting India to still be batting. This partnership could mean it is game on. Result could rest on how Harbhajan bowls.

Jeez. He swung it like a good old Nordic viking battle axe.

Very positive approach from the West Indian openers. This is shaping up like a cracking contest here. Take no prisoners and offer no surrender. Kickass stuff!
