I've just noticed - Chris Tremlett is now ranking among the top 10 bowlers in the world (having just moved ahead of Doug Bollinger).

England now have Anderson (2), Swann (3) and Tremlett (10) in the top 10, with Broad & Finn (15 & 17) also in the top 20. We now have both the most top-10 bowlers and the most top-20 bowlers.

No surprise we have the most bowlers highly ranked as we have the best attack with the most depth in world cricket at present. Add in Bresnan too who will no doubt climb much higher once he plays more games and we have a formidable unit.

Buttler should be in the T20 and Taylor should be in the ODI team. We have to start trying promising young batsmen and stop sticking with the same formula every series - you just have to look at India to see the benefits.

Kandamby has some experience as captain to be fair. Captained Under19's and also Bloomfield.

Lack of any better alternatives possibly. Giving it to Sanga or Mahela is more of a temporary solution as neither of them want the job and Mathews isn't fit yet. This is a good opportunity for Kandamby to prove his worth. At one time he was a pretty good prospect.

According to Andrew Miller, Eoin Morgan is the T20 vice captain.

Interesting. If the backroom folk consider him a captaincy option, he could well be going for both the T20 and the one-day captaincy soon. He's probably the only man in the T20 side that can't be dropped right now, anyway.

He doesn't come across as a leader and he also seems very quiet, so I would be surprised if he became captain but you never know.

Just one run shy of a century for Jeevan Mendis. Hope he gets into the team. Probably about 10 - 15 runs short considering the position we were in though. Thisera Perera ahead of Kula in the batting order perhaps?

This Moeen Ali chap seems quite the dasher.
