Yeah, I think they weren't quite sure whether to stick or twist and ended up going too much into their shells.

Been a very good day's cricket tho. You just can't whack the ebb and flow of a test, can you? 11 wickets down and I still wouldn't like to say who's ahead with any certainty.

Windies will probably be happier as India chose to bat, but was a sterling comeback from Harbhajan and Raina.

It does seem rather bizarre to see a bowler of Praveen Kumar's pace selected for a Test team coached by Duncan Fletcher. When coach of England he seemed obsessed with selecting the fastest bowlers available even if they had made little or no impression in county cricket, and domestic bowling statistics were considered largely irrelevant.

He's quick by Indian standards.

U expect the occasional lazy shot from laxman in the 1st innings,but the wall...........
3-4yrs ago dravid would score a 100 at least.

Sammy's not a bad bowler. He just shouldn't be an automatic pick. On wickets like in that first Test or against minnows he's been brilliant. On pitches like the one here at Sabina he's useless. Can't have someone like that playing every match.

Yeah. Unfortunately, Dravid is no longer impenetrable these days as he used to be once he gets set.

Also, Dhoni, for such a good player of spin, does look clueless at times when he gets out in Test matches. He has a lot on his plate with captaincy etc.. but it would be really nice if he could fulfill his potential with the bat in Tests. Been very inconsistent for a while.

If it was any other team than the WI (or probably Pakistan), they would be ahead on this surface. But WI have struggled to break the 230 barrier in recent times, so India are still about even. Will need early wickets though.
