Would Stuart Broad make India's strongest test XI?

ImpatientLime

International Regular
Stuart Broad, a player mediocre at best with the ball in test match cricket but for some strange reason a nailed on starter for England despite their strength in depth in this department.

India, despite their number one ranking a team lacking test quality fast bowlers. Zaheer being the one exception.

Does Broad make their strongest eleven?

Yes.

Even if one rates Ishant as a better bowler (I don't), he's better than Sree, Larry, Curly or Moe or whoever takes the third seamer's spot.

No, we already have Sree to fill up our annoying **** quota.

He very much is a better option than Ishant or Sreesanth. Whether he is a better option than Munaf remains to be seen, imo.

Is he really better than Sreesanth and Ishant as a bowler?

Not sure at the moment, but would probably make it for the extra batting.

Women's Reservation Bill or the The Constitution (108th Amendment) Bill, is a pending bill in India which proposes to provide thirty three per cent of all seats in the Lower house of Parliament of India the Lok Sabha and state legislative assemblies shall be reserved for women. The Upper House Rajya Sabha passed it on 9 Mar 2010 [1].

The seats to be reserved in rotation will be determined by draw of lots in such a way that a seat shall be reserved only once in three consecutive general elections.

I think it's debateable with Ishant, but Sree's way too flaky.

Anyway, moot point as you say; Broad's a far better all-round package.

Wtf, this isn't a comparison. The most common complaint about Broad is that he sometimes doesn't seem to pick up the wickets his bowling deserves and bowls a foot too short. The most common complaint about Ishant and Sreesanth is that they bowl horrible, ridiculous pies 90% of the time and have absurd no ball problems.

Did people just decide who was better 3 years ago and stick with their opinions in spite of Broad improving a ton and the other two turning to total ****?

How do you explain their numbers then?

Broad gets in for his better batting, there's nothing else in it. Marginal.

Broad will be preferred to both Ishant and Sree but thats more to do with his batting ability, bowling wise all 3 are interchangeable.
