English Domestic Season 2011

Yasir puts Ravi out of his misery. Slight question of height for me and Ravinder seems to agree. Really came back into the right hander tho.

Massacre in the end. Great bowling and fielding display by Slurrey.

Have to say there is something about Dernbach. He looks a lot better bowler than his career figures suggest. Quick enough (consistently over 85mph), swings it (mainly into the right hander) and has a very well disguised slower ball.

He'll play ODIs this season. Book it.

Tbf the England guys aren't stupid. They must have seen something in him to pick him for the Test squad.

I think he's just generally improved these last 2 years. I remember him a few years ago, playing against Yorkshire and he was all over the place, trying to bowl too quick and half way down the pitch.
He's definitely matured into a much better bowler, quick enough at 85-89mph and those slower balls, are some of the best around and he's good in the field as well.

Looks another good T20 match up on Sky. Mr z's Sharks v the mighty cidermen.

Kieswetter does his best to run himself out as I type.

Ha, wow. Great bit of work from Wright to catch Tres on the boundary. Banger absolutely middled one down to long on, Wright bags it and has the presence of mind to chuck it back into the air before his momentum too him over the rope, rebagging it when he'd steadied himself.

& Hildreth goes without troubling the scorers as I type. Ordinary shot, just opened the face and guided it to the keeper.

Buttler to the crease.

Sussex were tight, professional and clever. Good captaincy from Goodwin, putting fieders out for each and every batsman's favourite shots and daring them to go for it. the fact that several Somerset batsmen fell for it is something else.

Suppiah's stumping was the only really unforgiveable one though. Why the hell would he dance down the track like that to defend? Could say he was beaten in the flight, and it was a good ball, but when you're practically taking a run before the ball reaches you, play a sodding shot.

Like Brumby said, kind of disappointing for the neutrals. Would have liked to have seen Tresco and Kes going hammer and tongs, but ah well. Sussex have deserved this, well played.

Great grab from Tres. Nothing wrong with his reflexes.

17/2. Another quick one would make it interesting. Good to see Lou Vincent back at the crease too.

Game on here. 23-3 and Luke Wright goes to a wild slog way outside off stump. Good take from the 'Wetter

Gosh, that's a terrible shot from Wright. I'm relatively confident it'd have been wided if he'd left it but couldn't resist a flash.

23/3. Just maybe...
