Stupid, this. You should not be able to get singles on the offside with little nudges with the new ball, let alone twos.

EDIT: Surely it's a better idea to get DPMD nicking off than LBW?

Woah, Tremlett is ****ing massive. Yeah, know it's already been said many times. Makes it look like he's bowling with one of those minature hallway cricket balls.

These bowlers are showing very poor control of line. No pressure is being applied by either bowler relentlessly bowling in the corridor, ball after ball.

Broad averages far too high for a guy who plays most of his cricket in non subcontinental conditions.
Yup, although that's partly because of how high it was in his first couple of years. And there are plenty of miserably flat pitches outside the sub-continent too! But yeah that average is, well, very average.

Yeah, I agree. You'd need either a slower pitch or a batsman particularly prone to missing straight balls before this would be the right tactic.

TBH I think they're just a bit frustrated and are trying too hard to attack the new batsman.

Never noticed Steve Finn's dashing good looks before now. Bowling some rubbish ATM, though.

Might as well toss Swann the new-ish ball with the way he and Broad are bowling right now.

Complete leg side dross being bowled here by Broad and Finn. Can't use the Lord's slope as an excuse unfortunately.

Surprised that Trott hasn't been given a spell with the ball.
