**Official** Sri Lanka in England / Scotland - 2011

Did anyone else hear Nasser saying that KP had asked Beefy for some advice?

Apparently Botham offered, 'try batting left handed', and walked off.

Thoughts?
Had a mild lol when I heard it.

I'm sure there are better chaps to ask for batting advice than Beefy, in all honesty.

KP walked off is the way I heard it. Obviously a joke by Sir Ian - perhaps KP has no sense of humour.

Bothams a ****, that's my thoughts.

Well done England, would have liked 500, but the pitch looks like it has some pace in it, so let's hope our big uns can get something out of it.

I'm predicting Sri Lanka to dig in this time around. There is some serious quality in their batting and I have a hunch on Sangakkara today. He'll score a hundred.

I don't think I'm going out on a limb by saying KP and Beefy are pretty similar personality wise. Maybe not the best combined

He probably needs to speak to someone who will lick his arse. He hates not being the main man and the centre of attention in this England team.

My guess is Joel would be taller than either of our chaps, but Croft is a "mere" 6' 5" so Finn & Tremmers would edge it.
Cricinfo says Garner is 6'8", so Finn & Tremlett are still in the lead.

Would Ambrose have played with anyone especially tall?

Lulz at some of these decisions in the lunch break. The Stewart and Hick decisions were diabolical, think the Jayasuriya was worst though

Well who'd have thought we'd get that many when we were 22-3 yesterday. Superb performance even if the bowling and fielding were sometimes village standard.

Can't wait to see the big guys get at them, hope the Sri Lankans bat well this time but they were really lucky while getting the 400 and skittled in Cardiff so who knows.
