Have absolutely no affection for Port or their fans... however as a supporter of a club who has struggled financially in the past, I really really hope they can recover from this.

This AFL is the richest sporting code in Australia. In what world would it make sense if a team folded because it was too poor?

I think what will save them is the fact they're an interstate team. God help them if they were Melbourne based.

The SANFL have both SA clubs bent over itbt. If one good thing can come from this it's the if the SANFL sells the license back to the AFL and the club finally being free of SANFL rule.

Every person who was behind the signing of Mark Williams on another contract at the end of 2009 should have resigned. Same with the people who decided to pay out his contract (obviously most would be the same people).

That was some of the worst club management I have ever seen. And I'm a Richmond supporter ffs.
