Hmmm, I would interpret it differently if they dropped him from the contract list. I would see it as correcting a mistake, quietly excising him from the team like a tumour. The bad feeling from a guy getting picked when he didn't deserve it certainly spreads like one and I'd be more concerned with that than how he might personally feel. That's life.

we tossed casson out after a decent game and replaced him with cameron ****ing white. don't see why beer can't get the same treatment but dropped for O'Keefe who sorta deserves it.

I'm with Corey. Can't see him getting one - plus, we are flat out trying to find 1 international spinner let alone including 3 or 4 in the group.

Reckon Hauritz might return to favour with Clarke as skipper too, think Haurie and Ponting weren't on great terms by the end.

I don't see why they should pick 25. They keep picking many of the same players in each format unless they 'retire' from that format, so why 25? None of them appear to be earning their keep. Seems like a great wheeze to me.

If CA are so obsessed with money, why don't they try saving some and announcing that there is just isn't enough players who deserve contracts and they are going to only give out 20? Just because someone doesn't have a contract, doesn't mean they won't get picked if our selectors decide to use a little imagination. Look at David Hussey.

It would be the first bit of honesty I've heard from them in years.

I do agree, but I think the less contracts given out the less chance we're going to find a new generation of good cricketers in state cricket.
