**Official** Sri Lanka in England / Scotland - 2011

I thought everyone realized in 2009, that Broad was a better first change bowler, than opening bowler and I was surprised after the Ashes, that they've taken the new ball off Tremlett. When Jimmy's fit , it should always be him and Tremlett opening.
I don't think Andrew Strauss realises that. He thinks Broad is the dog's bollox.

Didn't even see it.Thought was going to be a draw.:-O
Bad show from SL batsmen or great from eng bowlers?
Just disappointed at SL mostly.Their bowling looked minnow standard, and just when u thought their batting was doing well this pathetic display. That too with 3 bowlers, and swann taking 4 wickets vs sri lankan batsmen is just ridiculous.

Some bad batting but nigh on perfect bowling.

Interview with Swann on sky right now - saying that the Strauss/Flower "brains trust" (his words) wanted to declare immediately, but Swann and the rest of the team wanted to let Bell get his hundred.

Was the pitch doing anything silly compared to the previous days? Would like to see a highlight package of the wickets.

He wasn't being serious when he said that.

Unreal is the only word I can use.

I guess it shows if there's a chance of victory, however small, it should be grasped. We actually did something similar at The Gabba last year after CooknTrott had scored several thousand runs in the second innings. We could've gone on, but sent Oz out for a tricky few overs. If memory serves we got Katto early and Punter was put down before it petered out.

The win was unlikely, but the positive intent was great to see. The Miracle of Cardiff Mark II™ is the apotheosis of that positivity.

Mayur: "After witnessing what just happened. The picture of the england slip cordon in the cricinfo gallery for this match sends shivers down my spine. This team may very well be on their way to be number one. Watch out India. Theyre coming. From an indian fan."
A few.

Nah it was Watson you dropped. Ponting was busy using up all his good batting in one innings.
