They could have had all the rest they wanted from April 8 to May 28. This is absolutely ridiculous. I can understand players skipping the ODI series even I don't like it, seeing they've just won the World Cup; but test series? It's totally unlike Tendulkar to ask to be rested for a test series (especially an away test series). Reckon he's injured himself during the IPL and just wants to ensure he's fit for the England series. The only silver lining is that hopefully a lot of people will be well rested (NOT RUSTY) as they come into England.
Would be a big wake up call - This is pretty pathetic tbh. Some humiliating losses and reality checks coming our way in this tour, I suspect.
We atleast have the full strength bowling attack available though. Some humiliating losses and reality checks coming our way in this tour, I suspect.
India should win the ODIs comfortably tbh. Expect it to be much closer in the tests. This, however ; rests on whether the West Indies groundsmen clue upWe atleast have the full strength bowling attack available though.
Actually, looking forward to this tour even more now to see how the team goes.
Worried slightly about the ODI team though more than test.
Don't care much about the result of the ODIs TBH... but Test series should not be used for experimentation. We atleast have the full strength bowling attack available though.

Not to mention Champions League and IPL 2012.Good...
we need him fit and running for the Eng and Aus tour..
Not really...Would be a big wake up call - This is pretty pathetic tbh.
22 years of toiling for Indian cricket and how dare he take rest from a test tour... ??Not to mention Champions League and IPL 2012.
IPL > test series now? Give me a freaking break.22 years of toiling for Indian cricket and how dare he take rest from a test tour... ??
To be Honest ,the ODI team selected is more weaker on paper than the Test Team.India should win the ODIs comfortably tbh. Expect it to be much closer in the tests. This, however ; rests on whether the West Indies groundsmen clue up
Will BCCI compensate for the money lost from not playing the IPL? I am dead sure had that been the case, he would have rested during IPL and played all the test series they wanted... and ODIs...IPL > test series now? Give me a freaking break.
IPL > test series now? Give me a freaking break.
Lol, that's a joke. He's in the twilight of his international career. He has to play as much as possible. He can play the IPL even when he's forty-five.
If BCCI had scheduled a random ODI series, Tendulkar would have skipped it. If they had arranged a short test series with someone then nobody would have complained. It's not like India would have played no cricket if there had been no IPL.
