Hodges to miss four weeks. FMD.

The guy is an absolute gun, but geez he misses.

Like Johnathan Brown and Daniel Kerr, they've got their clubs by the balls - highly paid, injury prone players on longterm deals.

Get out there FFS!

The worst part would be him dribbling all over the other players during his down time. He's a difficult player to like, can't say I was devastated for him when he went down the other night (Origin was in the back of my mind at the time too).

Michael Gordon going out as well might have been a square up.

Gee Scott Prince has been average this year. Playing like a bloke with a long contract who doesn't give a ****. Very few halfbacks in the comp I'd want less than him on his form this year.

Yes I picked the Titans, yes he was **** when the game was on the line, yes I'm annoyed. :@

Agree RE Prince - in a total comfort zone.

So is Cartwright who, quite astonishingly, was this year awarded a five year contract! The Gold Coast have made the finals twice in their four years for a grand total of one semi-final victory...and the coach gets a five year contract.

Then they sign Idris on a deal of a similar length, paying him $50 000 to $100 000 more per season that Justin Hodges gets.

Plus the club, thanks to the Centre of Excellence that they built, has massive debts.

And the crowds this year have been dire.

I think that covers it

This club will go the way of the Chargers/Seagulls if they don't pull their heads in.

CEO Michael Searle is out of control - he thinks he's Kerry Stokes.

Yep my Caxton Street moles are making similar sounds. Problem is, Nielsen was given a bath by none other than the battling Raiders last weekend. Not sure I'd pitch fork him into the cauldron of Origin.

He just looks like he doesn't give a ****. Titans had two sets of six in Manly's half in the last 3 minutes. At the end of one set he puts in a 25 yard kick for position which is easily gathered by the fullback inside the Manly 10. Then with 30 seconds to go he hoists a bomb that barely gains any ground and lands on the Manly 10 and is gathered easily due to the chasers having to check their momentum. Do we see pictures of Prince with his head in his hands, distraught due to the two rubbish plays with the game on the line snuffing out his teams chance of victory? Nah, just a shake of the hands and a calm stroll off to the sheds. All in a days work.

Such a shame cause he's a massive gun when he's trying.

True. Thought the same thing about Dugan's two misses in the same game though.

They're good players though. Both will likely get the job done.

Reckon that's one of the weaker QLD sides in recent times. Great spine obv, and a very powerful front row even if Civ isn't as powerful as he once was. There's only Thaiday as impact in the backrow though, Harrison, Myles, Parker and Lillyman are all very hard workers, but not players that are going to split you open. Would have Taylor for Lillyman personally for a bit of potency when Thaiday is off the field. That backline is weaker than it's been in years too.

In fact I'd go as far to say that NSW comes very close to matching them in all areas other than the key positions. Obviously 1, 6, 7, 9 are positions too important to be just discounted, and QLD are very clear favorites, but I don't think this team is as untouchable as it has been.

Disappointed we didn't mimick NSW and go for that shrewd, calculating tactic of omitting our best player.

Yeah it got leaked yesterday but it's official now. Still don't think Lockyer will play FTR.

Lockyer will play, if he doesn't. Thurston to 5/8, Cronk 7. Berrigan to the bench.

I like the look of the QLD team. I reckon Boyd will probably play a bit more centre, particularly towards the end of the match. It's essentially the same pack as last season, and the 1,6,7,9 have been together for ages. Going to be tough for NSW.
