I honestly don't think there's much either side can do. Both have no clue (outside of Chanderpaul and maybe Sarwan) how to play on this kind of pitch.

The issue is that there are so many national highways and state highways (read: flat Test match pitches) in use today, that batsmen have forgotten the rudiments of technique and application.

It's a below average pitch made to look unplayable by two teams filled with incompetent batsmen, IMHO.
