Has a baseball batter ever forward defensed a ball for a home run? Most people would agree that cricket is better from an aesthetic perspective.
Dunno, has anyone ever forward-defensed a six?

They do have bunt hits (essentially, block & sprint to 1st). Would take some impressive overthrows to get a home run with one.

Indian fielders probably needed.

All sports are equally "hard" simply because the expected standards adjust based on how sportsmen perform. It's obviously equally hard to be in top 1% sportsmen in cricket as in 100 meter sprint. All these comparison are of course about complexity then. And no, I don't have to know a sport inside out to have an opinion on how complex it is. Cricket's vocabulary is going to be bigger than that of any other sport which is an indication of how complex and sophisticated cricket is.

This thread is hilarious.

People who quite obviously don't have the first clue about baseball really ought to refrain from commenting on the two.

Well, you'd have to poll only people who are fans of both sports.

Being one, I wouldn't agree with that.

That is comforting. I would be somewhat concerned if you did agree with me, TBF.
Yea I have no idea where you'd get 'most' people would agree with that. Obviously people who don't know one sport but like another will think their own sport is more aesthetically pleasing.

I dunno, to me hitting a ball effortlessly is always better than a guy wielding a club like a caveman.

You'll be surprised at the huge number of people who don't know much about cricket thinking its a boring and ****ty sport. It's because they don't know much about cricket. Exactly what you're doing imo. (Unless of course you know alot about baseball and still find cricket more aesthetically pleasing)

Meh, happy to be an ignorant/judgmental/narrow-minded **** in this particular case. CBA developing a taste for a game that holds absolutely no appeal to me just "to be fair". I'll give my opinion anyway, though. :p
