We have lost 3 wickets now.

Ali and Xuhaib have not begun with their doomsday predictions yet.

Something is very wrong with the world today

Hammad Azam will finally get a chance to bat today. Also our wicketkeeper (who has the coolest name on the planet) will most probably get a bat too.

I would have liked them to bat in a better scenario, but this should be a good test.

Is there a bowler in world cricket both faster and fatter than Ravi Rampaul?
Four wickets to Rampaul now....

This is where I refuse to back Gibson's logic. He insists that his players have to be ultra-fit, hence the drive to leave out Gayle, Shiv, Sarwan, Benn, and Rampaul - none of whom can run a marathon, as Gayle aptly put it. But what does Sammy, who can run a marathon, bring to the game that is better than those five?

A long term career for one,to answer shivfan's question on fitness.

There should be no compromise on fitness IMO.You'll do well here and there, but then you'll break.I'm sure in reality, leaving out Gayle n Co is hardly linked to fitness. They are fully fit professional sportsmen.

Well, that was the excuse used by Butts to drop the five mentioned players, and as the chairman of selectors, he said the five of them were not meeting up to expectations of fitness. But, apparently, Sammy is....
8-)
There is no one-size-fits-all standard for fitness. Sammy may be able to run 20 laps easier than those five, but that doesn't make him a better player. And it also doesn't mean that those five have poorer fitness levels, because they can't clock the same times as Sammy on the track....

Fitness is not linked to running alone, even though it is a good measure. The level of fitness depends on your role in the team more than anything else.So yes,Sammy being faster than the rest would make him fitter than the rest on a lot of fitness variables, but not all.

Gayle is clearly fit enough for international cricket. I agree that it was just a convenient excuse to leave him, Shiv and Sarwan out.

I think i want to have Hammad Azam's babies and satisfy him like a whore every night for the rest of his life.

Agree on the fitness issue with shivfan.

Inzi shouldn't have been in the Pakistan side because he was seriously over weight???? He was still the best batsman in the side by far
