Haha, so true.I think if you literally reversed everything you said here I'd agree with it.

If baseball is full of Dilshans, I know which sport I'd rather watch. The Fielding in Cricket is comical nowadays, Wicketkeeper is the only position depending on the team you can say it's top notch.
I used to Admire all aspects of How Australia fielded, their groundfielding was so smooth you wouldn't test their arms and try to get 2's but some teams in the subcontient I see balls bouncing at least 3 or 4 times just to reach the Keeper.
You have to be skilled like a Dilshan to play most positions in Baseball almost a prerequisite
It's tougher to face a pitcher who can do mix the speed of his pitches and move the ball both directions than face a one dimensional bowler who can occasional sprinkle a slower ball or a Quicker Ball.
Theres Exceptions like a Warne who was so many variations but he's still for the most part a 1 speed bowler
ha ha, good oneIf baseball is full of Dilshans, I know which sport I'd rather watch.
Yes it is an American Video. They would ignore the many other aspects of the game.It was a pretty terrible video.
It actually is a lot easier to hit a cricket ball than a baseball. However that doesn't make the sport easier.
Haha I saw that. Horrible. Yeah pit an baseball pro against a grade cricketer, really even.Lol, there's just so much wrong with this experiment that it's almost cringeworthy. You'd think that they'd put a little more effort into this.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. The ignorance of the people who made that video is astounding.
This post is lolworthy tbh. It's tougher to face a pitcher who can do mix the speed of his pitches and move the ball both directions than face a one dimensional bowler who can occasional sprinkle a slower ball or a Quicker Ball.

Haha this is such a lolworthy comment. Go try hit a major league baseball pitcher and then come back and say it.baseball pitching in cricket is equivalent to bowling all deliveries as a full toss. Quite pathetic really.
who said anything about smashing a home run????????Haha this is such a lolworthy comment. Go try hit a major league baseball pitcher and then come back and say it.
Most (read all) top batsman will happily smash a 90mph full toss for 4 wherever they please. A very, very small % (relatively) of hitters will hit a HR in a baseball game. Go figure.
I think you missed the point completely.Of course it is, but so suggest that hitting a baseball pitch is as easy as hitting a full toss in cricket is totally untrue.
No you're wrong. Once again you can't compare the two. There is also a large variety in baseball. If all baseball required was hitting "full toss" like pitches, then anyone could become the perfect batter by solely practicing off fast pitch machines.I think you missed the point completely.
What I meant was that the variety in cricket bowling >>>>>> variety in baseball bowling because in baseball you can only pitch full tosses. Theoretically speaking you have an infinite more variety in cricket bowling than in baseball pitching because in baseball you can't bounce the ball.
I don't agree to comparing both but somebody said that bowling in cricket didn't have much variety and I was responding to that. And despite all the variations that you mention in baseball you can have even more in cricket. No you're wrong. Once again you can't compare the two. There is also a large variety in baseball. If all baseball required was hitting "full toss" like pitches, then anyone could become the perfect batter by solely practicing off fast pitch machines.
In baseball you have fastballs, breaking balls, change-ups, and even in each category there are a ton of variations that can be employed by the pitcher (ie. cutters, sinker, two seam, four seam, etc.). There is also the element of pitching outside the strike zone and having a batter chase after the ball. And batting to these variations at such speed and still having a success rate of getting on base as 1/3rd is a tremendous achievement. And this is just a basic overview, there's a lot more to pitching than this.
As I said, each sport has its own elements, and to compare them is ridiculous.
