Malinga is ridiculously good at this. I still believe he is a relatively one-dimensional bowler who wouldn't see too much Test success in the long run even had he continued, but boy is he amazing at that dimension.

Why didn't Malinga Use more of those in tests is strange?

Could have gotten a hell lot of wickets with such deliveries combined with short ones and slower ones.
Perhaps it takes more strength to ball and tires him in tests?

Malinga was a pretty good Test bowler tbf. Swung the ball, low action, got up to 150km/h at one stage.

Had a very very unlucky tour of Australia. Bowled a lot better than his figure suggest, as he always looked likely for a wicket. Which is just the sort of thing you want from your bowler, and there really haven't been too many modern bowlers who always look that way.

Malinga's Test record is not poor, but an average of 33 odd is a bit underwhelming TBH.

Cam White and Dan Christian. Why do Deccan keep playing these two palookas who have the same middle name - Can't Bat, Can't Bowl, But Can Field - in every game? When they have Lumb who can bat a bit, and Theron who can bowl well at the death? Duminy too, who can do a bit of both.

They are short of quality batsmen, not bowlers. Hard to see Theron playing ahead of Steyn.

btw I am using a smartphone with a qwerty but still find it convenient to use sms speak. decided to ditch it now vcs, blaze. though it takes me a **** long time to type.

Symonds used to a pretty decent 5th bowler for Australia in odis. Not sure if he has completely stopped bowling.
