International Captain
Patel's bowling action and the way he moves in close to the umpire, reminds me of McGrath a bit.

India bowling and fielding here like world champs.

Bit of an unlucky dismissal, although it was perhaps a rather average shot.

Edit/ Off the arm as he went through with the sweep.

That's been coming. Not enough runs from the powerplays for Sri Lanka, awesome pressure bowling from India.

Contra

Cricketer Of The Year
Bhajji should try bowling from the other angle. The Doosra becomes much more useful. And it can be effective against Jayawerdane's style of play.

As expected it has been quite easy so far. Now Sanga and Jaya will scratch around for a bit and hopefully we will tie them down even more :)

This is exactly what will happen. These two will treat being 2 down after 20 overs as an unspeakable disaster and start to rebuild at a run rate of 3 per over. One of them will probably then get out anyway and the rest of the lineup will fall desperately trying to up the run rate. Sri Lanka 220ao.

Yes, I fear this happening too. Although given the paucity of the batting line-up, I think that is understandable. But 220 may be a little optimistic, and if so, would be 30 runs too short of being anywhere near a par score on this wicket.
