Classic Bell. Look great and piss it away.

Literally the only fielder close in on the on side and he unerringly finds him.

Ravi. Hmm.

No point winning toss if you don't get runs on board. Need 230 somehow. All on Morgan and Trott. Bopara will fail probably.

International Regular
Real pity, that. Bell was batting so so well up to that moment. Looked to be in the zone, and just threw it away.

Come on England, you're not the best side, but please win or expose as many weaknesses of this SL side as possible.

Big mistake by England not to include Collingwood in the team today, not only would have he been handy with his cutters his experience and ability to play spin too would have added a lot more depth.

Not sure Prior and Wright at 6 and 7 really give too much solidarity to the middle order, there big effort required now from Trott, Morgan and Bopara.

It's not just his haircut that's a bit ****, is it? Malinga's fielding a tad excremental too. Gifted us runs twice now.

Like the look of Bopara at four, much more suited to this role than coming in at six or seven and trying to blast a few quick runs in the dying overs. Here he's got time to build an innings, like he does for Essex, plays spin well and uses his wrists well to find the gaps.

Yeah plays spin really well, almost out twice in last Herath over. Bloke is a waste of space and lucky to still be in international cricket.

Yes can't disagree, scratchy start from Bop, struggling to read Herath, can't see it getting much easier for him yet against Mendis.
