At least these two are both extremely fast runners, so we could get some nice quick singles and twos here.

Singles don't mean **** now. We are 161-5 after 40 overs. We needed 280 to win this. I'm off to bed.

Don't need 280 to win this. Tricky pitch, 200 is bare minimum but gettable and 250 is a challenge. 280 would be a winning score.

NZ need 250 atleast to compete. Don't try anything stupid and just knock the ball around for the next 3 to 4 overs. And then who knows what can happen int he last 5 overs.

Yeah exactly... With a batting Power play still in hand and if NZ bat well enough... 240 is gettable. Anything over 240 will be very competitive on this pitch.

NZ just haven't been able to take enough singles of spinners.

One feels that they kept on delaying the batting PP because wickets were falling. Well, then you are never going to take it, are you.

Basically playing right into South Africa's plans. Good luck with Steyn in the PP and at the death.

If you have 6-7 wickets in hand with 10 to go then 100 runs is certainly on.
If you only have 5 and you leave the batting power play to the last 5 overs, then 70 odd is the best your are going to do.

One run from the over? One?!

I still believe, but we're going to have to improve on that.

The pitch seems ok to bat on......not that tough......at least 250 should be the target for kiwis.........anything less would be sub par IMO

Leaving the batting PP till 43-44th over onwards is the dumbest tactic ever.

The last 5 overs can be all or nothing hitting anyways. Anytime taken after the 40th over is pretty dire, tbh.

the way things are going the saffers will have to choke real bad in order to lose.....we are down to the last 7 overs and NZ not even 175

not really..........it depends on the teams. I am sure if Pakistan take the PP in the 30-40 over period they will lose **** loads of wickets and won't have anything left to work with in the last 10 overs. Same thing happened to India vs Saffers and Eng IIRC
