The argument against Shoaib not playing (i.e. a risk) would only have merit if Riaz was bowling well. Or at least keeping it tight. He's not really doing that.

This World Cup just keeps getting more and more awesome. After a massive match against Aussies now it is with arch-rivals Pakistan. Will be seeing it with Pakistani friends and want revenge for the champions trophy match.

which champions trophy????? In almost all big tournaments we have been getting our asses kicked by India.........

I think the winner will come from the other half of the draw, FWIW. Can see an intensity drop for whoever makes the final, especially if it's India. Pakistan might avoid it if they get another comfortable win.

Haha no team will drop the intensity in a World Cup final vcs. Sure Pakistan/Ind will be like a final in terms of whoever wins. But the players aren't retards.

It might not happen consciously, but it doesn't take much of a drop at this level. If India are made to sweat it out again like today, in a high-pressure environment, it will take a lot out of their tanks.

On a totally unrelated and inconsequential note, I wonder if this thread will have the biggest reply count of the tournament excluding the Final? The reply count on the Ind/Aus QF is unreal.
