Yeah, I mean Pollard at five? Followed by Sammy, Thomas and Russell? They are really missing Chanderpaul in there.Still have serious reservations as to the depth of the WI batting and their ability in chasing down this total. Got themselves into a fantastic position here to beat one of the top sides, Sarwan and Smith ticking along nicely, just fear for them if they lose a couple of quick wickets.
If WI bat sensibly, they should walk this
Then again, Akmal caught something yesterday so it's a bit much to hope for lightning to strike 2 days in a row
Yes the absence of Shiv Chanderpaul leaves a large gaping hole in that middle order. Wouldn't be too bothered about Pollard coming in at 5, if a player such as Chanderpaul was following him. The last two games that Shiv has sat out, the games have been set for a player of his style to utilise. No pressure on scoring at a strike rate in excess of 100, but just the ability to push the ball around in these middle stages. His form may not be great, but I personally would have much more confidence in WI chasing down these targets if he was in that middle order.Yeah, I mean Pollard at five?
