Indeed. I thought Raina may not be able to replace Pathan because of latter's bowling. But think there isn't much to choose between the two. So just as well play Raina. Pathan has totally failed to give any acceleration to Indian innings, the role for which he has been kept in the side.

Not sure why Dhoni is trying to get the 10 non-specialist overs bowled out now, when he is defending a moderate total. Surely he has to win well inside 50 overs.

Yeah I'm often critical of Dhoni, but I don't mind what he's doing here. He knows WI batting is thin. Just get through this now, and perhaps get a lucky wicket (check), and then go full throttle with the actual bowlers.

I also disagree with those that say this isn't defendable in 50 overs.

Baffling. Rampaul, who's not exactly Curtly Ambrose, got serious bounce & carry on this deck and swung it too.

Pathan's been decent with his 6 overs. Munaf and Bhajji to bowl in tandem soon. He's probably saving Zak for the death and batting PP.. Ashwin should be used in the crucial moments as well.

Yeah, spinners have looked fairly inneffective all match. These tactics may work, but they seem needlessly complicated to me.
