Do you guys realize that how idiotic these type of posts sound especially after a match when your team just lost ?It is okay once in a while but almost every post like that, it is e just too condescending and insulting to NZ and Pakistani fans even more so when India has not won against a non-minnow team, even Ireland and BD have done that. Do you really think at the point it matters who we play against in the QF ?

And what difference does it make who India face in the QF ? The world cup does not end there, eventually they will have to face the good team and then what ? Where you going to hide ?

Wtf? If you think mentioning who I would rather have my team face in the quarters is condescending and insulting, you're being a bit too precious. And hell yes it matters to me who we play in the QF, it's my opinion on who I think we have the best shot against to win in the quarters. Ask any Indian fan right now, if there is one team they'd avoid that is Australia in the quarters. I rather deal with them in the semis or final being that much closer to the cup.

Our fielding today was for the most part excellent. But Yuvraj and Gambhir missed two catches.

Nehra and Patel gave away too many runs.

So my preference would be to have Netherlands, Bangladesh, Ireland, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Canada to reach the WC QF and the only other spot left should be England. Because they will more likely loose to a minnow and if we do meet them, we will have a tie.

Don't be silly. You're basing that off what, two games? You say we have yet to win against a non minnow as if in history we've never won against one or in the last 5-10 games we haven't. Gain some perspective, it's been 2 games ffs.

We can talk about that last over, but SA also needed a bit of luck with inside edges, close runouts etc. India should have had 40 runs extra to play with after Tendulkar got out. Basically lost the game in 8 overs of madness at that stage. OK, Steyn bowled very well.. so they should have adjusted their sights accordingly, batted conservatively and settled for 325. We all knew India struggle to defend less than 320 on flat pitches (though this one had a bit for the spinners), so it's not really that much of a surprise. If anything, SA cut it a bit too close in their chase and kept us in with a sniff throughout.

Agree with you. Even with Kallis eating up balls during the middle,they still couldn't defend it.

India need 350 min to be favourites for a match, if they bat first.

Not saying they can't do it, but 3 games in a row, especially against teams like SL, AUS, SA, there is nowhere for their bowling to hide. Batting needs to be huge. And if Malinga, Tait, Steyn or Akhtar have a good day, will make it hard for them.

India need a strike quick bowler. Ashwin or Even Sreesanth if the pitch is seaming.

India fielded very well. Sachin, Virender, Virat and Suresh were excellent fielders today. Most of them did well except the two catches that were missed by Yuvraj and Gambhir.

India's bowling especially Nehra and Patel costed too much. They gave away tons of runs.

Yes, the batsmen should have played smarter in PP, but why blame them.....you were ****ty as a batsman today without PP.

Oh and you made an assanine decision to give Nehra the last over to bowl.

Feel sorry for the Indians.I was pretty sure they were going to clinch it when Gambhir and Sachin were at the crease.I'm still not convinced that Steyn is a top drawer ODI bowler though.

Inside edges happen. We had luck with no one going to catch Sehwag. That **** evens out.

Obviously the batting collapse was a joke, but that doesn't always happen. However this last over bull**** is happening every match. How do you prevent it? A captain making a common sense decision like bowling a guy who had bowled his last few overs brilliantly should be expected. When he doesn't do that, and every armchair critic knows he's just made the wrong decision before it even goes sour, there is a serious problem.

I look forward to the day we don't get smashed by number 8 and 9 batsmen.

Last time India beat a Non-Minnow team was 8 years ago on 14th march 2003. That was 8 years ago, It is ridiculous for certain Indian fans to make some of those stupid claims that are being made in this thread.
