But in all seriousness, I think it's because South Africa feel they're in with a chance to pick up a wicket as long as these two are going for their shots. They can't let them take singles and settle down for a big score. It'll be game over.

Sliding down, surely?

That's even worse on review than it looked in real time - you could see middle and off comfortably behind the pads and it didn't turn. Awful on the part of van Wyk that he doesn't know that was missing.
