The wides have cost England dearly, whatever happens in the next game, it's time to give Anderson a rest, he just hasn't been at the races, apart from one game. Got to give Tremlett a game, at the least he's accurate.

Knowing The England selectors they'll replace him with Tredwell or Wright. Both of whom would be better then jimmeh at the moment depressingly.

Shambles, ugh

If we beat Windies do we go through or are there other considerations?

Btw fully agree that there should be no minnows at the next tournament. Top 8 only IMO.

Pah, miserable cricket from England. Dew or no dew, 23 wides is pathetic.

And not great from Bangladesh either, who even managed to fail at failing, crumbling before England's more refined and experienced defeat-snatching skills. Good finish though. Really wish that Ireland had beaten the Windies so that there was still a chance that both of these teams could get knocked out in round 1.

If England beat WI, they will be through to the QF because they will end up with 7 points. If they lost and BD win against Netherlands, BD will move to the QF.

You have to beat Windies and Bangladesh has to fail to win either against Netherlands or South Africa.

If they win both their matches and west indies win their match against India ,then England is out even if they beat west indies.

So, Bangladesh and Ireland have done what India and South Africa couldn't ? This group is crazy.

On a serious note, well played Bangladesh. Probably their best win ever as it seemed they were down for the count at one stage. James Anderson's bowling at the end was utter garbage. Surely a cause for concern for England that supposedly one of the best ODI attacks has now failed to defend competitive totals against Ireland and Bangladesh of all teams. They'll still likely qualify for the quarters, as they have that one extra point from the India match.
The total was at least 25-30 short. TBH they shouldn't have got close to defending this, as they were gifted two top-order wickets with utterly pointless runouts when they looked completely out of it. Bangladesh managed to win it despite two collapses, should have done it a lot easier.

I haven't a clue, WI have to play India after us, Bang play Ned and SA, so I think if we win, Bang will have to win both and WI will have to beat India to go above us. I think.

No a win against WI should be enough for England unless BD win both of their remaining games in that case BD will Qualify.

Eng win against WI, Eng 7Points, BD win against RTD, lost to SA , BD 6 Points :- England Qualify to QF

BD win against RTD and SA, BD 8 points :- BD Qualify to QF regardless of the outcome of WI-Eng game.

Btw, if Pakistan was stringing together the same performances/results as England have in this tournament, they'd be facing a whole lot of suspicion and conspiracy theories.
Didn't want to let this post pass by. Definitely true.

England are the new Pakistan tbh. So unpredictable.

If BD beat Saffa we can finish ahead of them right? As long as India beat them? No?
