Problem for Afridi is that he can't buy a run and outside Sri Lanka where the wickets suit his skiddy leggies, he may lose his potency with the ball. In India, Afridi averages 82 with the ball in 24 ODIs.

Afridi's overall WC record with the bat is a joke. 16 games, highest score of 37, averages 12. Much better with the ball mind, averages 18 but that's due to this tournament.

He hasn't played in India since 2007.And the pre 2007 Afridi was a different bowler, the current one is different. He has effectivley shifted his focus away from the batting to the bowling now. He's one of our strike bowlers now.It doesn't really make a difference if he averages 82 in India. He's in great form and i'm sure he'll continue it.Plus if you're going to go by stats, his batting record in India is amongst the best of his career.

Yeah Afridi became the gun he is since 2008. Really he was born again as a bowler in that ODI tour by Australia to Dubai.

But he is still a leg spinner, and India is the grave yard of leg spinners as we all know.
