There are only four people in the CW league (including me) right now. Join damn you. You can be in three different leagues under the one account so its not like its a hassle or anything.

Hate having half the league be randoms.
I'll join soon, so cool your jets, jerk.

Should have a SuperCoach league instead... My scores are depressing low every week under the DT formula.

Nah I'm a DT loyalist. Tried SC along with DT for a few years but eventually decided I'd just solely do DT.

I understand the argument that SC uses champion data points in its scoring system and hence better overall players (rather than ball magnets) are more relevant (e.g. Judd over Priddis), but its quite random to follow. DT is predictable and consistent. Plus its the original

Costello at it again today

I get the general point - that footballers are rough around the edges and, especially when in company of each other, sometimes take a rather primitive view of women. As such, Costello says, they shouldn't be held up as role models. But as a profession, they are hardly alone in this regard.

I'd actually argue that footballers themselves don't want to be seen as role models, and don't particularly enjoy school visits and operating outside their field of expertise. And surely the school visits are good for the kids - they get to meet famous people and have a kick of the footy. I'm not sure that the footballers necessarily try to impart "life skills" on the students.

As for footballing jounalists being afraid to criticise the culture...I think people like Mike Sheahan, Caroline Wilson, Andrew Hamilton etc. have been quite robust in their examinations of not only the various *** scandals, but in drug issues impacting the game as well. If anything, they've been over the top in their analysis.

Was a lot of discussion on radios about how if he's going to tarnish footballers with one brush, the same can be said of politicians and all their misdemeanours.

Off topic, but how funny is his attack on Arbib lol.

60 Minute episode on Kim the St Kilda controversy chick.

Lolworthy stuff tbh.
Yeah gutter TV.

It comes across as not much more than her latest attempt to stay in the headlines. She's more attention whore now than, well you know, but at least she seems to have grown up somewhat.

Still hope it ultimately ends in the demise of Ricky Nixon. Petty but just imo.

So she lied about taking the photos herself, when they were obviously taken by Gilbert, lied about being pregnant taking fake photos of her stomach. Really has no credibility to believe anything she says in an interview.

One thing I got from the segment though was she actually likes Nixon. I thought the whole thing was a set-up because she hated him. Whereas she set him up but also liked him.

How can you be ***ually attracted to that mug?

So Ricky Nixon stands down as a player manager and checks into rehab to deal with personal problems.

Seems to me that going to rehab is now the social equivalent of declaring bankruptcy. It's just a massive copout so that people can't come after you because you've got 'problems'.

Edit: Should clarify that I don't think going to rehab is a copout, just the way it is used by some people in the spotlight.

AWTA.

There's always some "condition" too. I have issues with anger management. I have a drug problem. I have problems with alcohol. I have nymphomania. No, stop deflecting. You're a drunken, violent, agressive (man)whore. Call a spade a spade imo.

Fev stepped out of rehab yesterday; just one day after reaching a settlement with the Lions. The man has issues of that there is no doubt, but....

I agree that the whole rehab thing is just a little overcooked and really trivialises the whole rehabiilitation process that people with real issues courageously undertake.
