Lol @ Furball's ban

The amount of things I've seen said about Australian and England fans over the years, but you can't say India fans are arrogant because it's trolling and baiting. It's his opinion FFS. Pathetic.

This system is the worst thing to happen to this forum since I can remember.

Any criticism of India is racism/trolling/baiting/being mean/hurtful obviously.

This is what's wrong with the world. Apparently Indians can troll white people but when we do it back, it's seen as racism. Well maybe not, but it feels like it!

Most trolling should be taken in good fun anyway.

It's so funny really.

Uppercut asked if India had done their homework.

Furball responded, 'probably not if their players are as arrogant as their fans'

Five infraction points. I had to check it wasn't April 1st.

Ugh, suggesting that the mod-team are against white people is so hilariously uninformed.

Can anyone tell me, seriously, that Furball coming into the thread, calling all India fans arrogant, and then digging up a few jokey jingoistic posts as some kind of "proof":

1. Was helpful or amusing in any way
2. Didn't immediately turn the thread into suckage for a few pages?

Forget about whining for a bit every time an England fan is warned or infracted. These infractions are not hard to avoid.

No. I've been here over five years and the amount of **** thrown at whole sets of fans is unreal, and none of Furball's posts came close. If someone believes India fans are arrogant they aren't allowed to say it? Give me a break. It was a legit reaction to some of the posting going on in that thread.

If they'd infracted his 'victim mentality' post they would at least be able to put a logical argument together (I don't think that should be an infraction either but think it would easier for them to spin it against the rules). But they didn't, they specifically infracted the one I mentioned.

FTR, the posting throughout the WC suggests a lot of India fans are arrogant. Perhaps not all but 'if their team is as arrogant as their fans' is hardly a statement of absolutism. So infract me, then.

Just as an aside, a big deal thus far has been made of the fact that none of the nonsense infractions given out have led to a ban. Well Furball (who btw you might remember hasn't exactly always seen eye to eye with me) got one infraction for 'GAGFC' and the other for 'Sanz is a buffoon'. Well the latter, fine, as ******** as it is he knew that would happen. The first though? Just gotta lol at that tbh.

Ostriches, I tell ya.

Having a bit of a chuckle tbh. Unlike someone else, Ginger didn't make an apology thread to cover his backside for blatant trolling, so he got the chuck.

Ginger Furball deserved infractions though. His trolling was massively hypocritical considering he's been one of the major pushers of "modz nd indians r sux" in here.

Nah, GF didn't get banned for that one thing, It was accumulated infractions over some time. Reckon the Dhoni_fan guy would have been warned/infracted for y'day too.

Nah, Nothing was wrong. We indians just got victim mentality, bro.

Hang on - if GF is being a hypocrite, then why was he infracted and the people he complained about last week weren't? Lol

You didn't answer my question. That "there's been posts worse that in the past" is entirely besides the point. I'm only talking about that post and yeah, it deserved an infraction.

If an Indian fan came on and said "All England fans are arrogant", I'd be pissed off at him. If he then quoted you making a jokey statement about England's chances as some kind of proof, we'd all be. And we'd mostly be pissed off that he just screwed another thread. And Furball has been here a while too, he knew exactly what would happen.

Surely you have to admit that post was never going to do anything but piss people off and start a row? Why the hell do we need that?

Last I popped in, everyone was still waiting for these posts that deserved infractions. You could well be right, but so far this thread has been full of debate without anyone linking to evidence.

Bringing in the infraction system was pointless though. Posted this a few days back, but I'll repeat. It's not the system, it's the application of it.

Ah right. Meh, he had it coming. Guess time will tell if that little **** in the Ireland thread got an infraction or not.

Answers to your questions:

1. Who cares if it's helpful? Are posters only allowed 'helpful' opinions now?
2. I did actually think it was amusing, and as I say, I happen to agree with him relating to some of them

As I already said it was hardly a statement of absolutism. And it's all well and good saying the past isn't relevant but of course its galling to see people now getting banned for what has always been fair game. And as I said in the thread, it's the Aussies who have had that sort of stuff thrown at them most over the years and have never got all pissy about it.

I don't want to go round in circles. I think it's yet another bull**** infraction that further serves the double standard theory. If you and others disagree fine and I'm not calling for it to be overturned because it won't be.

However, the mods can point to new rules and say past precedent don't apply to infractions. What concerns me is how little you can say now before being infracted, and moving forwards, we're either going to see inconsistency or a ridiculously strict forum. I don't want either which is why they should get their heads out of the sand and stop giving out nonsense infractions.

I've discussed these off the forum with a mod. Not going to go quoting them in here to reopen a whole heap of ****.
