England Provisional and final World Cup Squads

Have the overriding suspicison that we're succeeding (after a fashion) in spite of the squad rather than because of it, tbh.

Yardy had a Barry Crocker today (plus ça change, etc), going at over 5 RPO in a low scoring ball-tearer but is Tredwell really a live option to replace him? In all honesty I'd be more inclined to give Colly a crack down at 7.

Yeah, Pietersen outbowled Yardy and there's Bopara and Collingwood to get through some overs if need be too. Collingwood in for Yardy makes sense.

Line-up needs more Luke Wright IMO. Hasn't let us down once yet in this tournament.

We'd have this tournament sown up already if the big fella was in there. Probably best for the tournament that he isn't there. :(

even though Nick Knight did his best to knock one out over two of his catches today, Prior missed a few chances and his batting remains diabolical

I'm not his biggest fan, but I reckon Woakes's wicket-to-wicket medium pace would've been useful on the decks we've had so far.

His lower order hitting could've been useful versus Ireland and SA too.

Would rather have KC opening than Morgan. Gale can go #3.

In seriousness, if Morgan's fit, they absolutely have to bring him in. He's our best one day bat, no competition. If not, Davies is one of the best LO openers in county cricket and could let us drop Prior if need be.

Anyway, agree with what's been said; it should absolutely be Morgan if he's fit. If not it should be Davies - not only because he's the next best opening batsman available but because it opens up the option to drop Prior (although that would also require retaining Yardy or *shudders* picking Wright).

Has to be Morgan with Ding Dong opening.

Serviceable, anyway.

IMO, shouldn't go with Bell b/c he seems to like his new spot. I would rather bring Prior up who is already struggling lower down the order.
