But the England vs. India thread was explicitly mentioned too. I haven't seen the posts that they had a beef with, unless it was vicleggie, who was banned anyway?

Anyway its obviously cool to make statements like "Need to just ban all discussion on India and all of the associated players tbh. English and Australian posters go at it pretty hard a lot of the time and we never end up with all this ****, but yet nobody seems to have worked out why...." so I don't envision it stopping anytime soon.
I was thinking the same thing as well, but it was an 80-page long thread, so perhaps I missed something.

Infract me then.

And of course Burgey, you've never made a similar post joking about Tendulkar/Ponting of course. I'm sure those are always helpful. ;)

Considering the event perceived to be an inconsistency is between a SL poster posting about an Oz cricketer and an Oz poster posting about an SL cricketer, I hope posters here are mature enough not to link this thing to the whole "Indians get away with everything" thing again. :)
ITSTL.

And my post was deleted for allegedly implying the opposite.:(

Was referring to what happened just now itbt.

Afaik, The only poster they have problems of inconsistency with is Migara and maybe the vicleggie/precam/vijaymallya bloke.. The latter is a renowned multi and **** whose troll accounts don't last for more than a few hours, the former is a SriLankan so I don't know from where this perception of Indian posters getting away with everything comes from.
Because it's seemingly ok to troll English or Australian posters, yet make harmless, off the cuff remarks about the One True God that is Sachin Tendulkar, or his Prophet Murali, and you get an infraction for it. Although if Migara has been infracted, then this is where my point about openness kicks in. I don't think anyone would be kicking up this much fuss if it were visible that other people were being infracted as well.

It stinks. I'd expect a ban if I trolled anyone as badly as we were trolled on Sunday, but we're fair game apparently.

Brumby's jokes in the Steve Davies thread getting deleted and being 'subject to moderator review' is a ****ing joke as well.

Yeah I was away from the match thread during the match. Only popped in a couple of times on my phone and then after the finish.

It'd be helpful to know what posts/posters are specifically being talked about in that thread so us Indian blokes can change our ways.

Not my place to.

So why was a thread about which players are over rated in here closed because it had become a thread where certain players are being rubbished? Kind of the whole point of the thread to start with.

Can you point out the posts?

Probably because the accusations were hinting at Murali being a chucker, but hey I don't know nor care.

But when people start painting a group of people with the same brush, and not joking about it. Then I'll get involved and call them on it, whether they've been here for years or not, whether they're on the mod's side or against them.

Never have I made a reference to the colour of a player's or poster's skin, nor accuse them of anything by reference to that colour.

Never said you did. But the accusations about the Indian posters being treated better by mods than English and Australian posters is going to result in me mocking the **** out of that accusation, just like you mock Sachin/Ponting threads.

Is that what you're doing?

Yes GF to provide examples apart from VicLeggie or SirMallya who were banned the same day.

I don't consider "England are going to destroyed or India's right to play ODIs should be revoked if they lose this" to be trolling either. They were obviously made in jest. they were made just as much in jest as yours and other posts about Indian batters being overrated hacks and to be bowled out for an obscenely low score. if you don't consider it that way, It's actually inconsistency on your part. I agree that it was a farce that GIMH got warned for asking India to suck it but there was no country inconsistency in the decision, in that, Twas not like Indian posters were getting away with asking England to suck it(I'll repeat that I don't consider it warn-worthy anyway)

So would be interesting to look at examples of the mentioned troll and racist posts.

And for the last time, Migara is not Indian, It would be laughable generalizing to use that event as part of the 'Indians get away with everything agenda'

No-one has come out and said all India fans are ****s Jono so I don't really get what point you are trying to prove.

Furball's points about the double-standards is the big one though. Migara trolled and trolled Bradman and his supporters in that thread but as someone makes a reference to Murali's action (well, presumably that's what he meant) the thread gets canned. The mods claim that sledger would have been infracted whichever player he labelled a buffoon; unfortunately it's such a tedious infraction that there's no precedent to base it off but I think we all know it's complete bollocks.

In the match thread on Sunday, Got_Spin said he didn't like India and got labelled racist. **** all was done about this yet all match there were a number of posters, including normally good ones like Turbinator, trolling and baiting England in a big way.

I also have some fairly damning evidence that there is subcontinental bias in the way the site is moderated and if you want it from me, drop a mail at say_no_to_haircuts@hotmail.com. Thanks.

You shouldn't consider it warn-worthy when it's in your sig, mate!

I was logged on when he said that mate, only vicleggie accused him of being racist (which is clearly rubbish) and he got banned the same day. Another idiot signed up and posted some horrible trash which was thankfully, promptly deleted.

No, but people are openly stating (and profile messages, which I have came across of and were disappointed with having to read what I read, are open) that all these issues arose because it was a match with Indian fans. Don't deny that it hasn't been said, because it has.

Re G_S Eer no, Turbinator said he sometimes wondered if G_S was racist and two multis came in and trolled and were banned immediately. PEWS came in and clearly stated that it was a massive overreaction to G_S's post and asked everyone to calm down. You can't mix poster's reactions with moderating decisions mate.
