This is reminding me our bowling of the warm up game v Australia.

They made a cracking start then spin came up and we totaly strangled them Chalw took 4 wickets!

Yeh, batting for 2 1/2 hours is **** easy. Don't remember the English commentators making a huge deal out of Shahzad's or Swanns poor fielding.
You must have been listening to different English commentators to me mate.

Anyway, given that we have approximately zero chance of scoring at 7 an over for 32 overs against India's spinners, perhaps this is a good a time as any to admit that I need to rethink my opinion of Tim Bresnan after today's performance in the circumstances facing him. Unfortunately, the self-proclaimed 'leader' of our attack was yet again embarassingly poor. Maybe we should send him home on extended paternity leave.

Trouble is, with our squad we have Hobson's choice if, like today, someone goes down at short notice. As I said a few pages back we could really have used Sidearse today. Odd he'd retire so soon before a world cup.

Wright and Tredwell just ballast, basically.

Yup, all true. Just frustration on my part at Anderson's continued no-show.

That being said, once Broad is fit again it may well be Jimmeh to miss out. Flower was prepared to drop him from the 2020 WC side, so there's no reason why he wouldn't do the same here as well.
