Anderson's bowling

Unless KP can produce something special here I predict cricinfo to collapse in about 2 and half hours

Looking at that scorecard I reckon Anderson owes Bresnan one. If Pathan or Kohli had been batting till the end I think Anderson would have gone for over 100 and possibly beaten the world record. I would imagine his place has to be in doubt after these two performances. Who is his likely replacement?

Meanwhile a good start by England with both bowlers straying on the legs.

While I still want India to win, I want Tendulkar to be given an over and get hit for 20+ runs tbh.

Strategic resting a possibility? Suggested it earlier this summer when Clarke was looking like a broken man, but is it possible for him to spend a week or two at home?
At the same time though, he did put himself into the IPL auction.

I also think doing that would be counter productive - he's been ****ing woeful since his break during the ODI series.

I think the best thing is suck it up and get through the WC - there's about 4-6 weeks between the WC and our home series against Sri Lanka - IMO that's the time to be restig Jimmeh - have him play one Championship game for Lancashire to get match fit, other than that no cricket at all for that period.

Yeah, those half volleys are killers to get away, agreed.
Na, they're actually pretty easy to be hit 100 metres in the air straight back over the bowlers head. Bowler couldn't have expected anything less bowling a ball 10 cm from the base of the stumps.
