I know people say this a lot about minnows when they have a decent hour or so in a single game, but the dutch batting really seems pretty decent overall. Definitely not that far behind a team like Zimbabwe.

Just beginning to develop a partnership here these two, cautious but working the ball round better now, 24 from 38 balls. The run rate won't concern Holland too much right now, if RTD sticks around he'll ensure the rate is picked up substantially.

Anderson back into the attack, will there be any early reverse around here ?

The top four looks ok, the depth of the batting may be of more concern, as is generally the case with these lesser sides.

Why? It makes the batsman think about playing different shots if moving his feet is part of his game.

It just comes across as a defensive move.No slips in place,no close in fielders, keeper standing up.You're doing it out of fear than a sudden surge of creativity IMO.Plus bouncers are pretty much out of the equation when the keeper stands up to a fast bowler. It's the middle orders. The batsman is looking to deal in singles and doubles, and you're giving him the chance of doing that by operating defensivley.

As good as and possibly better, trouble is the bowling is far weaker.

Man these guys are playing well.If they cross 200,which would be a great achievement,we could have a game on our hands. The dutch have nothing to lose. While England be under the worst kind of pressure.

250+ should be on from here and that would make it reasonably competitive. Hopefully the Dutch remain switched on for 50 overs.

Netherlands bossing this. Will win by 70

Edit: do think Pietersen is an under used resource with the ball.

And as I type that he gets bombed...

You can understand why the ICC want to limit the amount of teams that play in the World Cup. Because quite frankly performances like this are ruining the game as a spectacle.
