Pennetta is cool to watch. Nice counter-punch game.
I just don't see how Pennetta could have fought back in the third, yet I witnessed it. Awful to let a 1-5 lead go in the 2nd. Disgraceful in fact. But after that you can understand being frustrated and losing the third set. But at 1-4 suddenly Azarenka just stopped (lost three straight service games) and Pennetta wasn't hitting unforced errors any more.
Funny how Azarenka loosened up when all hope was gone in the second set, but then once she was in a position where she could win (see vs. Serena Aust Open 2010) she completely froze. Some fatigue too I think, as she was struggling with the heat in the first set. She is known for feeling faint in the heat (see vs. Serena Aust Open 2009).
